Crocodilians are opportunistic predators which can be at their most harmful in h2o and on shorelines. Various species are acknowledged to attack humans and will do so to protect their territories, nests or younger; these attacks occur possibly unintentionally although the animal is attacking domestic animals like pet dogs, or deliberately for food.
